J. Carman" and "Logan Letter" in ink on front board. "Property of H. J. Carman" in ink on front wrapper. From the library of Harry J. Carman, Dean of Columbia College and Chair of the History Department--after whom Carman Hall at Columbia University is named. Carman was a historian of agriculture. Foxing on front wrapper, two brief and faint pencil notations on front wrapper, rear wrapper missing, Good. Following the Logan Letter are The Constitution of the Lancaster County Society for Promoting of Agriculture, Manufactures, and the Useful Arts and An Act for the Promotion of Agriculture, Manufactures, and the Useful Arts.
