About This Item

London: William Heinemann, 1950. First edition. Cloth. Very Good Indeed/Very Good. 8.5" by 5.5". None. The first edition of this autobiographical work by Antoine de Saint-Exupery in the original dust wrapper. The first edition. In the original publisher's cloth with the original unclipped dust wrapper.Written by Antoine de Saint-Exupery, a French writer, poet and pioneering aviator who is best known for his work 'The Little Prince' which won many literary awards. This autobiographical work provides a glimpse into the author's life with this work initially being intended as a preface for his best friend's novel but was later revised after his friends work could not be published. Antoine de Saint-Exupery unfortunately disappeared during one of his flights. In the publisher's original cloth. Externally excellent with only slight bumping and very minimal discolouration to the extremities of the boards. The wrap is generally smart with sunning to the spine and to the front and rear, minimal loss to the head of the rear and to the rear joint, light spotting and the odd closed tear. Offsetting to the verso. Internally very lightly age toned to the extremities and the odd spot to the front. Very Good Indeed
