Horse Guards, 28 November 1809. 1 page 9 x 7 inches, in good condition. Major-General Sir Henry Torrens (1779-1828), colonel of the 2nd (Queens) Foot, adjutant general of the forces, fought in the West Indies in the 1790s, Holland (1799), South America (1807), Portugal (1808). As military secretary to the commander in chief, Torrens made a complete revision of the Regulations for the Exercise and Field Movements of the Infantry of the Army.
