Dust jacket is clean and unmarked, with slight edge and corner wear; closed tear on upper edge and one on lower edge near spine tail; not price clipped. Alice, an imaginery 18 year old, can't relate to Jane Austen's novels and can't see why they are so much admired; her 'aunt', the author, writes these letters to Alice and pays tribute to a great writer while exploring the craft of fiction and writing creatively.
