About This Item
Woolwich: Royal Artillery Institution, 1889. Cloth. Very Good Indeed. 10" by 6". Not Stated. An uncommon collection of letters written by the Prussian general Prince Kraft Zu Hohenlohe Ingelfingen, illustrated with three folding maps. An uncommon work. A collection of letters looking at the German military and infantry, containing an interesting reflection of the prevailing German ideas and ideology of the time. Illustrated with three folding maps. Prince Kraft Zu Hohenlohe Ingelfingen was a general and military author during the German Empire. He first saw his first real active service in 1866, leasing a Guard reserve artillery, which went with success. He became a major-general a couple of years later, gaining great distinction during the Franco-Prussian War. Translated by Lieutenant-Colonel N. L. Walford. In the original cloth binding. Externally, smart. Light bumping to the extremities. Minor marks to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with only the very odd spot. Very Good Indeed
