London: Eyre and Spottiswoode, 1950. First Edition. Hard Cover. Dust Jacket. Signed by Author. First UK Edition. First Edition Second Issue red boards with black lettering to the spine. Some foxing spots to the top edge otherwise a VG+ copy in a VG D/W which is foxed to the front panel, spine and the edges of both the front and rear flaps. Authors signature tipped in to the half-title page. The D/W from this copy is from the First Cheap Edition (with the front cover illustration by R A Atkinson rather than by BB).
