Letters from a farmer, in Pennsylvania, to the inhabitants of the British colonics by (Dickinson, John) - 1774

Philadelphia (then London): Philadelphia printed; and London re-printed for J. Almon, opposite Burlington-House in Piccadilly, 1774. Paperback. Good, soiling and chipping to the exposed sheets and edges. The whole is untrimmed and unopened. Sewn book, may be lacking wraps (or may never have had them bound on). Half-title, Title-page sheet, first page unnumbered, pagination starts on the verson of the first page of text with page 6. Last page is 136, no rear endpaper. Measures 8 7/8 x 5 5/8" (22.5 cm x 14.3 cm). Half-title if "LETTERS FROM A FARMER [Price Two Shillings]. This appears to be the third London printing of this collection of Dickinson's letters. The first was in 1768, and the 2nd was in 1773 (when it was included in a larger collection of tracts). This copy entirely original and unadulterated, with the signature of Joseph Parker written across the top of the half-title and "by JohnAlma[n?]" written in faded pencil beneath this, and "Dupl" inked in the lower 5th of the half-title in neat and sliom ink.
