SIGNED full name & inscribed (To Hxxxx, These 'skirmishes'- those many years ago. With all best wishes"") by author, dated April, 1960 on front free endpaper. 85 pages + large (approx. 40 pages) b/w photo section- taken in the Pacific, many photos appear to be personally taken. 10"" x 7"". Brown cloth binding, tight & clean w/ slight spine lean; trace of rubbing & soil. Gold author facsimile author signature on front & all spine lettering bright & intact. NO bumps or fray. Text is tight & unmarked. NO hinge splits, NOT ex library. Handsome. well preserved copy.
