Wagner-Camp, Becker 107: 5 ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 416 pages; "A sequel toFarnhams earlier work on the Great Plains, the Rockies, and the Oregon Territory, this book begins with a section on the Sandwich Islands, and continues with a description of California prior to the conquest. Farnham goes into great detail about the missions, and gives thumbnail biographies of many of the missionaries, including Kino, Ugarte, and Salvatierra." .
