Boards well-rubbed, extremities rubbed and bumped; spine a bity sunned. Textblock toned and foxed; hinges cracked at preliminaries; deckled edges; sticker residue on rear pastedown; ownership signature on front pastedown. Good. A Cornish man who strikes up a more peaceful life at sea, only to escape a life of slavery at the hands of French privateers. He and his crew eventually wind up in Nosmnbdsgrutt, home of a race of winged women. Originally published in 1751; this is one of a number of early 19th-c. reprints.
