CAMBRIDGE: W.HEFFER & SONS, 1958 Fawn cloth boards with gilt titles to spine, xiv + 160pp. Colour frontis with tissue guard + 3 other plates as expected. Written by a fellow and a former Bursar the book recounts the period during which Samuel Blithe was Fellow and Master souced from the accounts of his 120 pupils and letters and documents of the period. The copy offered for sale has the attribute of being inscribed on the front free end paper "With the author's compliments" and there is loosely laid in a hand written letter from the author in which he gives the book to the addressee as thanks for another which the recipiant had in turn given him. VG/G+ (Book- No other name or insc. Dust Jacket- a little rubbed with tiny chips around head and surface rubbing to bottom of front panel taking out I and part of D in Cambridge.
