Photographic dustwrapper, showing Googie Withers against a brown, pink and yellow coloured background with black, white and red coloured titles to the front panel and black, yellow and white coloured titles to the spine. Montage of photographs on the back dustwrapper panel. The author has been married to Googie Withers, at the time of writing the book, for over 30 years. It is the story of a marriage set against post World War II England Theatre and film and in Australia. Softening and rubbing of the backstrip edges with loving of the book corners. Age toning of the text block edges and pages. Original books shop's rubberstamp to the lower right-hand corner of the front paste-down. Rubbing of the dustwrapper edges and panels with a little creasing of the top backstrip edge. Fading of the backstrip. This is the first UK edition. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
