About This Item
New York, NY: Times Books, 1977. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Fine/Fine. Photography by Fred Bruemmer. Assumed first edition. Mylar protected dj. Large format and very impressive book that was gently and rarely read. Whistle-clean and unmarked inside, only imperfections are 2 tiny slight dents and a bruised bottom corner on cover. DjJ looks great under the mylar. A very impressive and detailed journal of the harp seal enhanced with dramatic photographs by the author. The book covers the waters from the mouth of the St. Lawrence River to the shores of Labrador and out to the reaches of Russia's White Sea. The cold and harsh climate and the stark land and seascapes contrast the amazing and expressive faces of the Harp seal. This is one of those books that will permanently "move" you.
