London, Longmans, Green and Co. 1885 1st. Hardback, approx 8 x 5 inches. Quarter bound fine binding by “Hatchards, Piccadilly,” with polished maroon morocco leather to spine and corners, with marbled paper to boards. Raised and gilt banding to spine with gilt lettering and gilt sporting decorations. Top page edges gilt, marbled endpapers. In very good condition. Some rubbing to marbled paper on faces of boards, small rubbed patch to bottom end of spine and also to first top raised band. Else cover clean and smart. Binders stamp to corner of endpaper “Hatchards, Piccadilly.” One tiny minor spot to side margin of frontis plate, slightly effects title page opposite. Else pages all very clean, bright and tight throughout. Else a very good fine binding copy. xii + 322pp. Illustrated with a B&W photo frontis plate.
