Bound in half brown leather, with extensive gilt decoration to spines, orange title lables and gilt lettering, this 6 Volume Set (Nine Volumes in Six Books) is VG. Volume One, (containing Volumes 1 & 2) 1V/717pp with Contents pages and Ten Chapters, Scattered foxing, minor rubbing to marbled boards, slight wear to top/tail of spine and corners. Volume two, (containing Volumes 3 and 4) 862pp with 13 Chapters and Appendix on General Tate's invasion of South Wales. Corners rubbed and some wear to top/tail of spine. Boards slightly rubbed and scattered foxing, First ten chapters show some creasing to top righthand corners: mostly affecting blank margins. Volume Three (containing Vols. 5 & 6) 903pp with 13 Chapters. Minor rubbing to corners, light scattered foxing, light rubbing to boards. Volume Four (containing Volume 7) 708pp with 22 Chapters and Appendix on conduct of Napoleon towars The Prince Royal of Sweden. Light scattered foxing. Volume Five (containing volume 8) 635pp with 18 Chapters. Light scattered foxing. Volume Six (containing Volume 9) 436pp with 8 Chapters and Appendix on Buonaparte's Protest. Light scattered foxing. Each of the six volumes has marbled endpapers and edges. Engraved Bookplate of William C. Jones to each fixed front endpaper. General Condition VG . Very Good. Hardback. Reprint. 1837.
