Red Half paste-grain morocco. Gilt title design and tooling to spine. 8vo. [3] Engraved frontice portait; title; A2.v-xxii; pp.408. Sound binding. Minor shelf wear to board edges. Interior pages are clean and readable. Minor off-setting to pages but does not impact readability of text.

Although printed anonymously, the book is largely attributed to Isaac Kimber (1692-1755), an English minister, biographer, journalist and minister. This volume details the life and career of Oliver Cromwell.

Oliver Cromwell (1599-1658) was an English statesman and soldier. Cromwell fought in English civil war against Charles I, aiding with the overthrow of the Stuart monarchy. Oliver Cromwell was a descendant of Thomas Cromwell, Henry VIII's chief minister. Cromwell was well known for his relgious beliefs, championing elected ministry and critical of the hierachy of the Church of England.
