London: Macmillan and Co Limited, 1906. First Thus. Full-Leather. Near Very Good. Complete Set in 3 Volumes. From the "Library of English Classics" this is a 1906 Reprint of the First Edition 1900. Attractive Contemporary Brown Calf Full-Leather Bindings with 5 Raised Bands to spines. Gilt Decoration in compartments. Only 1 Title Label in 2nd compartments but titles clearly indented in the leather on the other 2. Same with the Vol. Nos. Bright Gilt School's Armorial Bearing on fronts with narrow decorative gilt border to fronts and backs. Gilt decoration to board edges. Endpapers and all page edges Marbled. Prize labels on Endpapers, dated 1910. Vol I, 533 Pages; Vol II,470 Pages & Vol III, 522 Pages including Index. 8 1/2" Tall. Some edge wear to leather, mainly around spines. Front hinge of Vol I broken and the board is detached. Otherwise Hinges sound & Bindings firm. No inscriptions except on the labels. Pages in very good, clean condition.
