Description:
Philadelphia: Edgewood Publishing Company, 1891. Measuring approximately 7.5" x 5.25" with 544 numbered pages. This book is in poor condition. Front board and spine missing. Rear board nearly detached. Water damage to lower corner of textblock. Gilt top and foredge of textblock. Interior pages still clear. Sitting Bull was a Hunkpapa Lakota leader who led his people during years of resistance against United States government policies. He was killed by Indian agency police on the Standing Rock Indian Reservation during an attempt to arrest him, at a time when authorities feared that he would join the Ghost Dance movement.
