Mason Brothers. Original green cloth, now faded, with gilt-lettered spine. Gilt on spine faded. Spine head and heal frayed, some soiling to boards. Contemporary ownership signature to front free endpaper. Light foxing to front five pages. Front hinge separated, but attached via cover. An early and thorough biography of the controversial Burr, presented with enough distance from the actual events as to treat the subject without bias. . Fair. Hardcover. 1858.
