Complete in two uniformly-bound volumes, bound without half titles.Illustrated with frontispiece to vol. I Rebound in uniform full calf binding with decorative embossing to boards, four raised bands, gilt to spine, titles in gilt on red and black calf spine labels. Externally sound with shelf wear, minor rubbing to spine and extremities of boards. Armorial bookplate to verso front free endpaper, previous owner's gift inscription to a recto front blank page, dated 1852. Internally, firmly bound. Odd light minor spotting to occasional leaf, otherwise pages generally bright and clean. Very Good

Where are We?
Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
