Longmans, Green and Co., 1920; fourth printing of 1901 Second Edition; viii, 375pp. / vi, 364pp. From the collection of the late George Weida Spohn, author and longtime head of the St. Olaf College English Department, with his bookplate on front paste-downs. Gray paper of tan cloth bindings, paper title plate on spines (extra plates tipped in at last page of each volumes). Many pages remain uncut in both volumes. Bindings are tight, sturdy, and square; light wear to edges, light toning and foxing to boards; foxing to edges and end pages foxed as well. Text is very good throughout both volumes.
