London: The Studio Limited, 1927. Brown marbled paper boards with vellum-like spine. Title in gilt letters on spine and to front. Has an engraved frontispiece. Considers the life and work of French artist Edgar Degas (1834-1917). 54 pp. plus 80 b/w illustrations and 8 colour tipped-in plates (with protective tissue). Covers are rubbed, and there is one small water mark to the front board. Previous owner's name to FFEP is from Cavendish Morton (1911 - 2015), the maritime landscape painter. Page and protective tissue edges toned. Generally in a good condition. 300 x 340 mm (11¾ x13½ inches).
