(Cape Town: Howard Timmins, 1969). 4to; original red rexine, lettered in gilt on spine, with gilt regimental emblem and lettering to upper cover; pictorial dustwrapper; pictorial endpapers; pp. 200, incl. index; profusely illustrated. Very good dustwrapper, partially sunned; endpapers, edges and endpapers somewhat foxed, occasional fox spot elsewhere. Good to very good condition. "Light Horse Cavalcade carries the reader through every campaign of South African military history from 1899 onwards - the Zulu Rebellion in 1906, the revolt and strikes on the Rand, the tragic 1914 rebellion, the campaign in South-West Africa in 1915, the battle of Ellis Park in 1922, through to the undying glory of the 1st and 2nd South African Divisions in the Western Desert campaigns, and the 6th South African Armoured Division in Italy." .
