New York, New York: Farrar & Rinehart, 1940. First Edition. Hardcover--cloth. Good. Octavo, 8 1/2" tall, 298 pages, gilt and blue titles on cream cloth. A good sturdy hard cover first edition with general shelf wear, back strip darkened and frayed at top edge, light colored cloth showed moderate soiling; hinges and binding solid, paper slightly yellowed but foxing to the endpapers and some tape marks from a past dustjacket repair. The dust jacket is missing but jacket flaps have been saved and laid in.

New York: Farrar & Rinehart, 1940. Hardcover. Very good/good. Blue and gilt stamped yellow cloth boards in dust jacket, octavo, illustrated in b&w. Book has mild wear to edges of boards and spine, gentle rubbing to boards, binding tight, previous owner's signature to full-title, text clean and unmarked but toned throughout. DJ has spine ends chipped, rubbing, toning and mild soil, flap hinges worn and cracked, now in archival mylar wrap.
