An account of five brutal murders in the tiny hamlet of Linden in Genesee County, New York, between 1917-1924 by a local author who was personally familiar with the area. Murders which were never solved. This book also provides a picture of the birth of a modern state police force, and of changing times even in rural areas. Illustrated with photographs and maps. Although this has been reprinted several times, it remains difficult to find in any printing. 160 pp.
