This copy, number 4 of 5 copies printed on a beautiful pearl Japan paper boasts an ORIGINAL FULL-PAGE DRAWING of a galleon, signed by the artist, as frontispiece. It is further embellished with a separate suite of 4 original drawings and 2 original watercolours, all individually signed by Steinlen. This copy was also issued with an original canvas by the artist, which is not offered here. Unbound, as issued, in illustrated wraps, presented in a maroon cloth slipcase, with an ostentatious decorated metal spine. Très petit tirage à 40 exemplaires seulement. Celui-ci, qui porte le numéro 4, a été imprimé sur un très beau papier Japon nacré et se vante aussi une SUITE SUPPLEMENTAIRE DE 2 DESSINS ORIGINALES AQUARELLES ET SIGNES ET 4 CROQUIS EN ENCRE NOIR. Il manque par contre la toile annoncée au colophon. En feuilles, sous couverture illustrée rempliée, chemise dont le dos porte une fonte originale de Steinlen, et étui toile rouge foncé. Marques d'usage à l'emboîtage. Petite pliure sans gravité aux coins bas intérieurs des pages. Très bon exemplaire.
