Illustrator: Maps. foreword by author, list of coloured maps, a Gazetteer of towns and places in Africa and Australasia is having a literature or historic interest and index. Illustrated endpapers showing an old-fashioned map of the world in a green coloured ink. The text is illustrated with both colour and black-and-white maps and illustrations. Dark grape coloured cloth covered boards with self embossed publisher's logo to the front panel and gilt coloured titles and illustrations to the back strip. Title says it all. Everyman's Library number 662. Softening and a little fraying of the back strip edges with bumping of the book corners. Fading to the back strip and there is a small split to the top right hand corner of the back strip. Light rubbing of the book panels with heavier rubbing to the book panels. The rear spine garter is somewhat soft causing the text block to move somewhat. Browning and scattered foxing to the text block edges with age toning of the pages. The front hinge has cracked, as has the internal hinges in a few places, the underlying webbing is visible. Size: 12mo (standard paperback). [6], VII - XI, [1] 218, [2] pages,.
