Lavender cloth spine with black lettering and purple pictorial paper over boards, original presentation box with pictorial paper label. 62pp, (2pp). Color frontispiece, green and purple decorative text page borders, pictorial endpapers. Very good/very good. Non-authorial 1912 gift inscription on inner flyleaf; presentation box lightly rubbed and age toned, with minor expert archival restoration to 1" side panel of box bottom. Handsome first edition of this slim verse gathering of more than one hundred poems celebrating kisses, with contributors ranging from the Brownings and Christopher Marlowe to Paul Verlaine and Ben Jonson. A lovely production rarely found in the delicate presentation box.
