Finely bound by the Chelsea Bindery in bright green morocco, titles and decoration to spine gilt, raised bands, single rule to boards gilt, pictorial block to front board gilt, inner dentelles gilt, marbled endpapers, top edge gilt, others untrimmed. With colour frontispiece and 12 plates in colour, 43 black and white illustrations in text. Some light foxing and offsetting to a few leaves, some light creasing to the bottom corner of frontispiece, an excellent copy in a fine binding. Signed limited edition, number 398 of 525 copies signed by the artist. With the extra plate that is so often missing ("He Hurried Away with Long Strides") also signed by Rackham bound in at the back.

Scattered foxing and soiling internally, text mostly clean and plates fine; 1976 owner inscription; spine is a bit rubbed with a few tears along the edge and wear to the head. Very Good. Arthur Rackham. Large octavo (7-3/4" x 10-1/4") in publisher's decorated cloth. Illustrated with 12 full-page tipped-in color plates by Arthur Rackham, all but one with tissue guards, as well as a number of black-and-white drawings, many also full-page.
