Jarrold & Sons, 1897. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1897. Sixth Edition. 103 pages. No dust jacket. Green pictorial cloth. Contains black and white illustrated frontispiece. Pages are mildly tanned and foxed, but text remains clear. Binding is slightly shaky, due to cracked front hinge, but all pages remain attached. Previous owner's inscription to front free endpaper, with prize plate to pastedown opposite. Noticeable tear to rear free endpaper. Boards have moderate shelf-wear, with noticeable corner bumping and some scuffing to edges. Spine and edges are moderately sunned, with mild crushing to ends. A few small water stains and brown marks overall. Noticeable creasing ans scuffing to rear board. Slight forward lean.
