Minor wear to spine ends, endpapers somewhat darkened, edges moderately soiled, else very good in jacket with wear to folds and edges, but no significant chips. Mustard brown pictorial cloth decorated in gray, black, and red. Gilt lettering on front cover, red lettering on spine, 392 pp + (2) pp ads. Color frontispiece with tissue guard. In pictorial dustjacket with color illustration duplicating the cover design.
First Grosset & Dunlap printing, reprinted from the sheets of the first Macmillan edition. Quite scarce in jacket.
