About This Item

Charles Scribner's Sons, 1892. Hardcover. Very good/None. With illustrations by Reginald B. Birch. An early, unnumbered printing of the first edition, just two years after the first print. Very mild blemishes to boards but type and illustration on cover remains crisp. Rubbing and general shelf wear around the edges including bumped/frayed corners and spine ends. Previous owner's inscription on first page, otherwise all pages clean and unmarked though tanned. Front hinge cracked and several instances of mildly split binding throughout text. Slight spine lean.
