New York: Charles Scribner's Sons. Very Good. 1891. First American Edition. Hardcover. (1890) 146 pp. Plus 16 pp of illustrated ads. Gray cloth pictorially stamped in black, red and gilt. Beautifully illustrated by Reginald Birch; frontispiece with full tissue overlay and 11 additional b&w plates. Two wonderful inscriptions, to the original owner dated 1891 and then gifted to "Robin/from her Grand Aunt/" and dated 1953. An attractive copy with bright cover art; the ends and corners are bumped and edges rubbed; the spine is cocked and there are scattered finger smudges throughout. ; 8vo.; fair .
