About This Item
N. G. Hamilton & Co, 1888-01-01. Hardcover. Acceptable. The publisher of this first edition with front board matching the photo is Hubbard Brothers Publishers--the copyright notice is in its name, 1888. It should also be noted that the author of the "Life of Hon. Levi P. Morton" is not Lew Wallace but George Alfred Townsend. 578 p., clean and unmarked anywhere on tan but not brittle paper; boards, floral end pages, show damp staining yet pages within are fine with absolutely no evidence of moisture or rippling. That includes the frontis. engraved portrait of Harrison, with tissue guard. Binding birm, but volume somewhat bowed from poor storage, corners bumped, some rubbing at crown and foot of spine.
