, 1918. Very Rare Private Press: Title Page: The Westinghouse Automatic and Straight Air-Brake Combined E.T. Equipment and Machinery Questions and Answers with Their Defects and Remedies Private Press, published by the author: Circa 1918 Small 16mo red clothbound hardcover has very thin boards with lovely rounded corners; 346 pages with some black and white illustrations. Author Alonzo Deal was an Air-Brake and Machinery Examiner for the Philadelphia & Reading Railroad. He began his railroad career with the North Pennsylvania Railroad in 1876. His biography appears on page 2 and his photograph on page 3. Bumped head and heal of sunned spine with some wear and soil to covers; dusty top. Blank back endpage was stuck to back of inside cover and caused a tear to rep, with some residual paper on rear inside cover.
