London: Faber & Faber, 1937. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good/good. Very good unfaded red clothbound hardback with bright gilt title lettering. A few spots on the edge of the boards, and noticeable spot foxing or staining to the text block ends. Text pages are clean with the exception of mild foxing on the endpapers. The dust jacket has edge-chipping, edge-wear, and some loss but is mostly intact with possible light sunning to the spine but no fade to the spine lettering and the jacket is not price-clipped. Cloth boards are unsoiled, and the book is free of names and markings. The dedication page reads "To Helen who cannot see that Sweden is necessary." This book is scarce without a jacket, and much more scarce with the dust jacket. Ships securely boxed with tracking on domestic orders.
