A "view of the heroic lives of the pioneers of Oregon and Washington." With black-and-white plate drawings, some by E.J. Austen, A.E. Pope, D. Carter Beard, and Walter C. Greenough, several by unidentified artists. Six brief historical notes and four pages of ads (other titles of the period) at rear. Light rubbing to cover extremities. Small vintage Christmas postcard with inscription (some scarring to margins of card) affixed to inside front cover. Clean and tight.
