New York: Century, 1914. Tall octavo. Blue pictorial cloth stampedin gilt, pale green, and orange, top edges gilt. [8], 307 pp + colour frontispiece with tissue guard ("Aarhus. From a Painting by Arnold Bennett") and 27 other plates (one in colour). A VG clean, tight unworn copy, no owner names. Sections are Holland, The Baltic, Copenhagen, The French and Flemish Coast, The East Anglian Estuaries. A nice-looking book, a travelogue by sail by the famous English novelist. This US edition is the correct first edition, the British edition not coming until 1920. Note: 1.5 kg parcel, extra postage may be required.. First printing. Hardcover.

New York: The Century Company, 1914. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Good+. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, blue cloth boards with gilt on front and spine. Exterior shows spotting, mainly to the finish of the cloth along with some edge and corner bumps. Internal binding is good, no hinge issues. No signatures or bookplates, no library markings. Pages are toned due to age and some foxing is present. Both pastedowns and end pages show toning along the outside edge which was likely caused by a book cover/jacket, which is no longer present.

Moderate water staining, foxing and tanning to pages; text unaffected. More prominent to text block edges, pastedowns and free endpapers. Pen inscription to front free endpaper. Moderate cracking to gutters causing some looseness to binding but pages remain attached. Boards have minor corner bumping and edgewear with mild staining, tanning and scuffing overall. Spine has slightly heavier tanning with soft crushing to ends. Lettering remains bright and clear.
