The text is accompanied by intricate line drawings. It includes forty one illustrations that use interesting perspectives to show London from a new angle. On the flyleaf, it says that this is 'a book of unexpected delights that can be enjoyed in the comfort of an armchair, or used as a guid-book by the adventurous explores.' In the original publisher's cloth in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally very smarty. Closed tear to the tail of the spine on the dust wrapper. Loss to the head of the dust wrapper. Marginal age toning and the occasional spot to the dust wrapper. The boards are bright and clean with fading to the head and tail of the spine. Internally firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Contemporary gift inscription to the front pastedown. Very Good Indeed

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
