About This Item
London: Lutterworth Press, 1970. Sir Francis Chichester was a pioneer in the early days of flying. In 1929 he made one of the great solo flights in his tiny Gipsy Moth - from England to Australia; and later from New Zealand to Australia across the notorious Timor Sea. John Rowland has written other books in the same series - some of them being : The Polio Man (Dr. Salk), The Jet Man (Sir Frank Whittle), The Penicillin Man (Sir Alexander Fleming), etc. These books would be suitable for young readers. "Lone Adventurer" is an extremely bright clean copy in an illustrated price-intact dust jacket.. Second Impression. Hard Cover. Near Fine/Very Good.
