New York: Charles Scribners Sons, 1930. Book. Illus. by Will James. Fair. Hardcover. Signed by Author(s). First Edition. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Signed by the author on the front endpaper and dated '30, the year of publication. Previous owner bookplate under the author signature. Old water marks throughout and the front cover is rippled from the effect. Gilt cover and spine lettering is faded. Illustrated by James with 35 original sketches. There is a frontispiece photo of the author opposite the title page. Although condition is certainly an element with this one, it is a collectible alternative to the other pricey signed copies available..
