Three Volume set of the Revised Second Edition of this trilogy; Later printings; all books in fine condition housed in near fine dust jackets. A beautiful set protected in a slipcase that shows some rubbing and light peeling along the bottom edges, else also in near fine condition. Full maps present at rear paste down of Volume II & III. "The Fellowship of the Ring" is a fine book with black boards and orange highlights including orange endpapers; only trivial shelf wear to the spine ends is present; housed in a near fine dust jacket that shows light rubbing and chipping to the spine ends and corners, else clean and bright. "The Two Towers" is also in fine condition with black boards, green highlights, and green endpapers with only gentle fading; housed in a near fine dust jacket with only one small chip on the back panel at the top spine end, else fine. "The Return of the King" in fine condition as well with black boards and purple highlights, only very light fading to the topstain and gentle wear to the spine ends; housed in a near fine dust jacket with only minor rubbing to the spine ends, edges, and corners, else fine. Overall, an outstanding set of this genre defining trilogy, a must for the Tolkien fan or the fantasy collector! All books protected in mylar and shipped in a sturdy box.
