The Lord of the Rings (Second Revised Edition, 3 Volumes in Slipcase) by Tolkien, J. R. R - 1965

Boston: Houghton Mifflin, 1965. Later printings, with prices on front flaps, dated 0267 on the bottom of each flap. Not book club editions. Folding maps in the rear of Volumes 1 and 3. No owner's name, no noticeable wear to cloth, just some minor spotting. Dustjackets not clipped. Volume 1 has a tear to the dj at the head of the spine and some loss at top and bottom. The other two dustjackets have minor wear to extremities, tiny edge-nicks, slight loss at some tips. All three have the usual spine-fading. Slipcase is very solid with no tears, just light edge-wear. The set has a mild smoky odor that will reduce with time. Price reduced to reflect this. A solid decent set.. Hardcover. Good/Dust Jacket Included.
