Loretka Hra o pĕti obrazech by Nezval, Vítĕzslav - 1941

Prague: Melantrich, 1941. Hardcover. 149p., text entirely in Czech, a paperbound original now expertly custom-bound in marbled boards and brown morocco spine: gilt titling, raised bands, the attractive original cover is bound in at rear. Boards are quite rubbed, which rather dims the classic marbling, while the leather spine is very good (pace a couple of tiny abrasion dots to bands); these boards may have been salvaged, a good fit in any case. Textblock is quite good and clean, the endsheets bear a little handwriting in Czech, all round a very good copy. Nezval was an avant-garde writer and one of the founders of the Surrealist movement in Czechoslovakia.
