This Journal Issue is Conservatively Graded in Good Condition. Ex-Library but with only a Marked-out Library Stamp on the Interior. The Softcovers have Light Soiling to the Surface, Light Foxing to the Spine, and a Small Area of Surface Damage to the Rear Cover where a Mailing Label was removed, but the Softcovers have No Tears, Creases, Stains, or Other Major Damage. The Spine is Not Creased; the Binding is Strong, Intact, and Undamaged. The Interior is Clean and Unmarked (other than the aforementioned Library Marking, of course) with No Writing, Highlighting, or Underlining and has No Tears, Creases, Stains, Mold, or Any Major Damage. The Page Edges have Very Light Foxing but No Remainder Mark, Stains, or Any Major Damage. Securely Packed and Promptly Shipped.

Brasseaux and published by the Louisiana Historical Association in cooperation with The Center for Louisiana Studies of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. The issue contains the essays "'For Love of Cotton': Nathaniel P. Banks, Union Strategy, and the Red River Campaign" by Michael Thomas Smith, "The Second Battle of New Orleans: The Crescent City and the Anglo "Invasion" of 1846" by Brian M. McGowan, and "An Inhospitable Land: Anti-Italian Sentiment and Violence in Louisiana, 1891-1924" by Alan G. Gauthreaux as well as "The Colfax Massacre: An Essay Review" by Thomas Howell. The issue also includes the 2010 Annual Meeting Program and a section of book reviews.
