About This Item
Akron: The Saalfield Publishing Company, 1930. Hardcover. Small 8vo. Red cloth with gilt spine lettering and large pictorial color plate on front board, pictorial price-clipped dust jacket. 216pp, (2pp ads). Near fine/very good. Jacket lightly edgeworn, but overall bright and quite attractive. Tight, handsome copy of this juvenile fiction from this publisher who does NOT indicate edition in any consistent, verifiable manner -- but a small nonauthorial gift inscription dated 1934 confirms the time period. Charles "Lucky Lindy" Lindbergh's overnight fame in 1927 spawned all sort of fictional imitators such as this. An exceptionally lovely copy.
