Corresponding 1927 dates to the title and copyright pages; no additional printings. Decorated endpapers. The author was born in Norway and later lived in Canada; her themes were rural life in Canada and Minnesota. This copy has very light edgewear. The cloth is not soiled, split or frayed. Bookplate of Norwegian-American collector Herman Gimmestad to the front pastedown, otherwise unmarked. Hinges solid. A clean, tight copy.
