Philadelphia & New York: J.B. Lippincott Company, 1941. Gogarty was immortalized by James Joyce in the charcter "Buck Mulligan." This historical novel is set in 18th Century Ireland. A Fine copy of the First American edition. Tan woven cloth binding with a facsimile of Gogarty's signature on the front cover; titling on the spine in black and red. Clean text; 438 pages; maps in green as endpapers. There is a tiny vintage price sticker on the bottom of the half-title page, with a bit of offset to its opposite.The dustjacket is Very Good (Plus) to Near Fine - nicely bright, with perhaps a hint of darkening on the spine; showing just a bit of edgewear at the margins of the spine. In an archival plastic protector.. First American Edition.. Hard Cover. Fine/Near Fine. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
