University of Nebraska Press, Lincoln NE, 1987. Book. Very Good. Cloth. 127 pages. Hardcover, bound in purple cloth covered boards and wrapped in an illustrated paper dustjacket. Text in English. Spine of jacket is sunned, with associated light sunning to edges of boards. Some shelfwear to the edges of the jacket, with faint beginnings of foxing/spotting on the end papers. Else, the binding is tight and secure, with no observable markings to the interior. Translated by Mary Ann Caws, the pre-eminent scholar and translator of many French Surrealist texts. Illustrated with reproductions of photographs by Man Ray, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Brassai, Dora Maar, Max Ernst, and others..
