Price-clipped dust jacket edgeworn with a few minor nicks; general rubbing; ghost of a sticker to front flap. Boards show light shelfwear and top corners slightly bumped. Binding is sound and pages unmarked. A Very Good copy of Hesse's final novel, originally published just before he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1946.
